Masking is optional

As COVID-19 cases continue to decline across our region and nationally, GCA is updating our masking policy. Masking is now optional, with some important exceptions:

Masking is REQUIRED for GCA staff,

  • when in the presence of patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation or immunotherapy infusions

  • anytime a patient requests their practitioner wear a mask

  • are returning to work from an isolation period for COVID-19 infection. Staff will remain masked at all times while at work on days 8-10.

  • with a higher risk exposure to COVID-19*. Staff should remain masked at all times while at work through day 10 after their exposure, or until they have tested negative for COVID-19 on days 5-7 after their exposure.

Masking is also REQUIRED for GCA staff AND patients when,

  • Any patient has respiratory symptoms (both patient and employees must mask)

  • Staff or patient has had a high-risk exposure to Covid-19 or Flu within 7 days.

*We kindly ask you to respect other patients’ decisions to wear or to not wear a mask while they are at the office.
